8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

I Chronicles 16: 8-11

Today’s Fast: Regrets

“Regret empties anticipation, flattens dreams, and suffocates hope, because regret is a form of self-punishment. Whereas hindsight helps us learn from the past, regret beats us up with the past. So for one entire day (or go for forty), I invite you to fast regret. Do not feed it. Do not give it space. Let it go: God’s mercies are “new every morning”.

Dearest Lord God;

I place upon your Holy Altar - All my regrets, failures, and shame. O Lord, throw them into your sea of forgetfulness that I shall not remember them no more. Psalm 103 KJV.

I refuse to give space to the enemy of my soul as its seeks to continue its bombardment of accusations. Revelation 12: 10-11 KJV teaches me “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, NOW is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.”

O Lord, today I sit in silence before thee. Listening with the ear of my heart for thy voice, thy direction; while basking in thy light of love, acceptance, and unspeakable joy. O Lord, it is thy face that I seek. My heart is rejoicing in thee. I find strength in you O God. May my life be a living testimony to encourage others to know the reality of Christ Jesus. Yes, Jesus Saves - to the utmost! Thank you for saving me. I love you Lord. Thank you for making me an overcomer, more than a survivor, more than enough, a true Thriver in the abundance of thy love. In Jesus Name. Amen.
